While many Internet sites promise special deals, travelers are often unaware of restrictions, exceptions, and fine print. Making the right choices based on price alone is not always the best course of action for travelers. We hear too many stories of travelers regretting that they did not seek personalized service.                                   

Tom and Tanya recognized the need for personalized service in the Internet age. While many agents succumb to the pressure of bargain Internet sites, Tom and Tanya recognized the niche for knowledgeable experienced travel professionals. They know travelers appreciate the value of a full-service travel agency. Many travelers learned that they actually saved money by seeking the help of an experienced travel professional. Tom and Tanya wanted to highlight this fact and decided to call their agency, "Fair Winds Vacations".

Tom and Tanya have spent nearly four decades traveling world-wide. They worked for major retail chains, financial institutions, and in the Moral, Welfare, and Recreation programs for the Marine Corps.  As Director of Business Operations, Tom had oversight of the travel agency for Marine Corps Community Services in Iwakuni, Japan.  Tom is a former Marine and took great pleasure in providing active duty and retired military and family members with excellent travel packages.  After leaving Iwakuni, Tom and Tanya knew they could best serve travelers by creating an agency on their own terms. They were determined to prove that their agency could provide better service and value than any other means of travel planning. They were right. Fair Winds Vacations is well received by the community!
